PJGT Withdrawal Policy Due to expected withdrawals, the PJGT has instituted the following withdrawal policy for juniors, who withdraw from an event after they have started their first round.
Once play begins, all juniors wishing to withdraw must report in person to the Tournament Commissioner, before leaving the golf course (or location in which the event is taking place), and before the competition has closed. The Tournament Director may ask the junior to talk to the Medical Attendant. The Tournament Director may also ask the junior’s fellow-competitors questions about the illness or injury. Based on the information gathered, the PJGT Tournament Commissioner will categorize the junior’s withdrawal in one of three categories listed below and the corresponding action will take place:
The Tournament Commissioner and the junior will sign the Withdrawal Form and ‘JWD’ will be listed next to the junior’s name in the tournament results. The Tournament Commissioner will report the withdrawal to The PJGT Review Board and no further action will be taken. The Tournament Commissioner and Medical Attendant are unable to determine if the junior is withdrawing for a legitimate reason such as illness or injury. In case of an extreme weather delay, which may cause a junior to miss travelling to the event, withdrawing from a tournament for this reason would result in a questionable withdrawal. If the Tournament Commissioner is unable to determine if a junior has legitimate reason for withdrawing from a tournament he/she will rule the withdrawal questionable. The Tournament Commissioner and the junior will sign the Withdrawal Form and ‘QWD’ will be listed next to the junior’s name in the tournament results. The Tournament Commissioner will report the withdrawal to The PJGT Review Board and a questionable withdrawal will be recorded in the junior’s history.
Once a junior receives two questionable withdrawals, their membership will be suspended and the junior will not be eligible for year-end honors. Disqualification penalties that occur due to intent or a deliberate decision by the player will be listed as DQ Rule 6-3a (NC or NS) and printed next to the junior’s name in the tournament results. The Tournament Commissioner will report the disqualification to The PJGT Review Board. The junior’s membership will be suspended and the junior will not be eligible for year-end honors. If a junior has previously been accepted into a future PJGT tournament(s), they will be withdrawn immediately. If the Tournament Committee feels that the disqualification penalty was one in which there was no intention or managed purpose by the player, it will be listed as DQ Rule 6-3a. Withdrawal Procedures (prior to the start of an event) To withdraw from an PJGT tournament or qualifier prior to the start of an event, please follow these steps. Also, please review the refund policy before withdrawing from an event. Email is NOT a proper method of withdrawal at any time.
Online Withdrawal
1. You must have your Member ID number to enter the Player Center. Note: Approximately 1 week before an event, the online withdrawal option is no longer available. If you need to withdraw at this point you will need to call the PJGT Headquarters / Tournament Directorate at +63.2.807.8903. Leave a message on the answering machine, clearly state your name, class/category and phone number, mention the correct tournament and your withdrawal is complete.
